Karangasem Regency has special features in its area, one of which is the Bangkuyang temple which is located in Puncak Bisbis. This is a temple complex consisting of the main temple of Lempuyang Luhur Temple and also several supporting temples. The supporting temples are including Pura Puncak Bisbis, Pura Lempuyang Madya, Pura Telaga Mas, Pura Pasar Agung, Penataran Agung Lempuyang, and more others. Everyone who enters the temple must wear a sarong. They will ask you to rent and wear a sarong even if you wear long pants or a skirt. Sarongs are traditional to Indonesian culture and since Lempuyang Temple is a sacred area, it is custom to wear one. You will also have to cover your shoulders when entering this temple complex. The forest area around Mount Lempuyang is so beautiful and still preserved. Visitors can see giant ferns, pandanus mountain, shrubs, and some other hardwoods. Fresh mountain air, the chirping of tropical birds, and if lucky visitors can see wild monkeys from the kind of long-tailed macaques. On the drive up to the temple, the sky was full of color and we could clearly see the incredible Mount Agung. The temple staff are very friendly and will give you a quick briefing about the temple. We were told which way to head to get the iconic photo through the temple gates with the volcano in the background. Pura Lempuyang is a complex of various temples, however the gate is very close to the entrance and is only a 5 minute walk up a few stairs. Not only that, on this tour you can also find Taman Tirta Gangga where in the middle of the park, there are many small statues are intentionally set on the stone to decorate the park in order to make a good looking. All of the statues are taken from the Hindu Historical epics like Maha Bharata or Ramayana. The scenery of the area is fantastic with great views and the climate is relatively cool. These facts, together with the religious rites of the spring, inspired the King to build himself a private country house nearby this spring set amidst a beautiful recreational garden. He called it Tirta Ganges – derived from the words ‘Tirta’ (blessed water) and ‘Ganges’ from ‘Ganges’, the holy river in India. For the lunch you will deserved the delicious food with view of Tirta Gangga garden so this is very complete packages because the end of tour you will visit Goa Lawah Temple, the place where the cave full of bat!
